Block Party!!!
October 10, 2009; Jack Hayes Elementary School; Monroe, LA
At our first ever His Church Block Party, we had a blast. We had jumpers and slides, games like frisbee toss and bean bag toss, and face painting and balloon animals. We gave away tons of door prizes and everyone who came walked out with a bag of goodies. In additon, we had all those fun foods like cotton candy, sno cones, hot dogs, popcorn, and more. It was truly a fun day encouraging others and serving our community!
Thanks to all those who helped out and prayed for our Block Party.
It was a great success with over 300 people coming through
and 15 people starting a relationship with God through Christ!
Thank you for your prayers and support!

His Church Mission to Nicaragua :
We have made a commitment to affirm and mobilize young adults/college students into world missions this summer. Part of that commitment was a mission trip to remote villages in Nicaragua. Thanks to the prayers and support of many people, the vision came to pass as the mission team went to Nicaragua and shared the Good News with them!

Man2Man Retreat, "The Warrior":
His Church along with several other men went on a Man2Man retreat to the OWL Center in Dubach June 26-27. With special guest Phil Robertson, we discovered how to not only prepare for the battles ahead, but more importantly, how to emerge victoriously. We agreed that it’s time to stop playing the role of the nice guy and instead live as The Warrior.
Thanks to everyone who made the retreat such a success.

Faith in Action Sunday:
We canceled our Sunday morning worship celebrations on Sundays, March 29 and May 31, 2009 to go out into the community and serve others. We did things like taking Communion to Ridgecrest Nursing Home, leading a worship service at a local truck-stop and other churches, feeding the homeless, and pumping gas for people---we did all this just because we care!
